102.3 is no longer a dark signal

I noticed that music was playing on that frequency this morning. I didn't her any mention of a callsign or any ads. Ipod station.

It's Good To Hear Them Back. I Hope They Stay With A Classic Rock Format. I Am Currently Listening To Them In Sandown, NH It's Staticy On My Home Stereo Because Of WKLB On 102.5 And WSAK On 102.1 But It's Listenable. I'll Get A Better Chance To Listen When I Go Up North For The Weekend. Currently At 3:10 PM EST As I'm Writing This There Playing A Metallica Song.

how much further did kiss 102's signal go when this signal was off?

Hold on to your mics. This could be a jukebox for a while. Word is there could be legal action between Nassau and previous operators. It could get ugly. Apparently they are challenging the assaignment of the license... which they did to Sumerau (Birch). Previous owners might be trying to get it back! Questions is... who are the previous owner? Vox? Capital? Shapiro? Danzinger? What could they be up to? Once again, NH radio gets interesting!
 
I have gotten a chance to listen Monday through Today before I head back to the NYC tri-state. It looks to me that is is on a 9 hour loop of classic rock just stating the call letters at the top of the hour "WWHK Concord NH" no idea who the voice is though.

Sounds like the old night guy at Oldies 99 "Georgie B". He was working as an engineer for Nassau but laid off months ago though. Might not be him. I think you're right about the loop. Wonder where it is originating from and who's controlling the transmitter??? I don't think Nassau has the authority and Birch has not closed but has been granted the transfer. My guess is that the previous owners are in control. Very interesting.
 
After hearing the 102.3 "Legal ID" Voice...I'd bet it's Dirk Nadon.

Nadon has a long radio history and has been the NH CHIEF of all Engineering and IT for Nassau (now Sachs Goldman)Broadcasting.
 
I wonder when all the legal stuff will be straightened out and a real radio station signs on.

BTW, it's still Nassau Broadcasting. GOLDMAN SACHS just owns 85% equity... LOL :)

It's "Georgie B". Dirk is signature voice of 1490AM in Laconia. Compare the 2. Not close! Long career for Nadon is right. I think he's close to 50 now and has got to have 25-30 years in. Mostly NH but several years in Boston with Greater Media and Sconnix.
As for GS and Nassau, application for ownership change has not gone through FCC yet and nothing has been sold so it's still nassau.
 
Georgie B, I'm rethinking Dirk Nadon.

And "Goldman Sachs" Broadcasting was said sarcastically.

Should be interesting. Nassau has marketed 102.3, 99.1 and 101.5. Nice package for the right entry point. Hate to see this get caught up in a legal fight and have all three just be music boxes. They'll just keep dropping in value as advertisers migrate away to the other stations they are keeping. This will effect the entire market. Well, 102.3 has no advertisers, but the other 2 are basically just playing music.

JimC: If you can't distingush between Fronk and Georgie B I feel bad for you! HA! Actually has anyone actually seen Georgie B and Fronk in the same room? Hmmmmm.... wait a minute here! LOL!
