I found this station on a recent trip to Vermont and gotta say it makes the radio stations I grew up with in the Boston area like WAAF and in my current location in New Hampshire WTOS look like AC stations. I wonder how a station that is small to medium market has such a broader playlist with more recurrents and exciting new rock instead of hearing songs like Saving Abel's Hollywood or the same washed out classic rock songs every hour. I stream this station often cause it just simply is the best rock station I have heard in some years. Give them a listen and let me know what you think.

You may find that there are a lot of really great stations located in tiny markets like Burlington. If a station has a Charles Foster Kane type for an owner, and depends on local sales of local spots for most of its revenue, then there's a good chance it won't be run like most corporate cookie-cutter stations. Another station that fits that model is WKVE in Waynesburg, PA.

Vermont has some awesome stations, in general. Just a couple of clicks down the dial at 102.7 in Manchester, VT is the Independent, always eclectic and broad-based WEQX. Also have one of my favorite AAA's in the area, The Point on 104.7, 103.1 and other freq's around the state.

While evolving to AAA about 35 years ago, KINK Portland has had the same identity since Christmas Day 1968.

What do you mean by "identity"? Are you saying that they kept the same call letters or what?
