102.5 The Party - Leaning More Rhythmic

Following the national trends of recently launched CHRs, it looks like 102.5 The Party is now leaning heavily on Rhythmic Hits. The main exception to this rule appears to be during the evenings when the syndicated Party playhouse with Jackson Blue is on. Check out today's logs before 6 PM to see what I mean - it's a lot more Rhythmic than usual.
The station had to do something as its ratings are LOW, and the station appears to be looking for guidance from 97.1 Amp Radio Los Angeles, 102.7 Now FM Las Vegas, Now 92.3 New York, and others.

Will it work?

Meanwhile, 107.5 The River continues to sound very focused and balanced.

I really wish the Party had better signal I would listen to them more. They don't play the same songs every hour like the River. I really wish the River would change there clock and play more music.

I think it's a good thing they lean more Rhythmic. The music was very similar to WRVW before. If you're doing the same thing as a station that KILLS your signal (in the metro), you WON'T win.

Now, they have their own niche carved out. Sandwich themselves between WUBT and WRVW.
Good move, but will it move the needle much? We shall see.

Well, now that WNFN has entered the Top 40 race, this was a good move on Cromwell's part. Plus its nice to see Pop-flavored Rhythmics like WPRT doing something different other than playing the same Hip-Hop/R&B tracks over and over again.
