102.5 WWLG

That makes sense - I didn't know it was deeper then just a marketing agreement. I wonder if this means La Mega will move into Radio One facilities. Currently they have a studio here in Columbus in NW Columbus near Upper Arlington.
I heard they already did and they have discontinued the newspaper they have owned for years

That has not been the case in many years. EMF has gone into many markets where there was a local competitor as it has run out of places to grow otherwise. Now the mission is to get as close to national scale.

Only three. K-Love on 103.7 in Cleveland, Air 1 on 92.7 Cleveland and 102.5 Akron. They swapped 101.1 to iHeart last year and another was running EMF programming as filler but not affiliated with organization.

Also not always the case anymore. There are certain markets that EMF has actively pursued and one upcoming deal in another market may also give them a full-powered Cleveland signal.

Look at the recent Spanish language change in Cincinnati and you'll see why Radio One needed to remove WWLG from its attributable holdings.
I could see Salem spinning off more Fishes

I could see Salem spinning off more Fishes

I only see this happening where it makes sense. Example here in Columbus their Fish is a translator that rebroadcasts an HD-2 channel and runs 24/7 automated syndicated programming with only local ads (I am guessing Salem sells their ads here in Columbus as a package, so they sell "teaching" The Word (880/104.5), "Talk" 98.9 The Answer and CCM "95.9 The Fish" as a package.

102.5 going KLove would be more a pickle for 104.9 The River - and I can see EMF wanting to compete with them given The River's move into NE Ohio with 104.5 WQKT - I can't imagine EMF happy about that competition up there.

I don't understand Spanish, but it sounds like they are running something going into some spot blocks referencing 'La Mega" on La Grande 102.5

Listening to Joy 107.1 in the car this afternoon their mid-day talent mentioned going into a break that on 11/1 that Joy 107.1's format would be moving to 106.3.

Anyone know what will happen with the Crew's Spanish-language broadcasts on 102.5? Guessing they could stay where they are.
I presume the Cavaliers will go to 106.3 like everything else with 107.1.

The Fish stations are cheap to run with the majority of the talent cost being covered by Atlanta. Attractive demos for agencies.

IMHO if they sell off their "Fish" stations it will take a miracle for Salem to stay out of bankruptcy court. If they still go the court restructuring route anyways, the more cash flow the better.

The lady that owns LA MEGA sure likes to post on her social media before the company makes a post. She posted today that she still owns the 103.1 but radio one is leasing from her and that INDIANAPOLIS will change from la grande to LA MEGA and add a tropical station on 92.7 names Fuego. This would be the first time radio one has a tropical station. Not sure if the new cleveland and new indy station will all launch on the same day.

Would that mean Mega goes completely R/M?

How exciting, our billionth Christian music station

Well, the current owners sold off their other radio/tv properties a while ago, so it does not make sense for them to take over programming it after the Radio One LMA ends. EMF makes about the only sense as the market for a stand-alone FM is not that great. Naturally they have the money, and this signal fills a 'gap' in their coverage map of Ohio (EMF's goal is pretty much to be a national network similar to how the radio formats operate in places like the UK).

at 12:00:00 exactly "La Grande 102.5" Faded out to dead air after a few minutes of dead air it joined KLove in the middle of a song.
