102.7 WNEW hd-2 rock of ny

Well I was surfing the web for hd stations and found that WNEW is back on 102.7 HD2 ,sound is good,signal is good here in NJ.Sounds like WLIR 92.7 and WNEW mixed together if you missed these two stations I suggest checkin er out!javascript:void(0);
Shocked

Yeah, I've been listening too. It's not bad, and they are using the old WNEW imaging with the beginning riff of Layla. Now if they bring the fat guy doing the cabbage patch to "Walk this Way", we'll officially be in a time warp.

CBS is actually advertising wnew.com and 102.7 HD2 on WFAN, which is a pretty brilliant move.

I also just heard an ad for it on CBS-FM's webstream.

I checked out the station for a bit shortly after it debuted on HD, and quickly dismissed it as a weak RXP clone that didn't come close to doing the WNEW brand justice. But I suppose I should give it another chance since I'm hearing a lot of good things about it now.

At the very least they shoud use the talents of WNEW alumni such as Pat St John(WCBS-FM), Richard Neer(WFAN) ad Harris Allen (WFAN) who who are already on the CBS radio payrol to do voicetracked shows (Live show are proably too much to ask) for WNEW.com/HD2

Pat St. John is being used as part of the WNEW branding. His voice is heard on the promos now.
