102.7 WNEW HD2: is this all they have?

The 'reincarnation' from the good old WNEW is on HD2 a long time now but I hear no progression on this station, it's a bit boring, almost no liners, jingles etc. It sounds very cheap in my ears. I know, in the good old days they use also less jingles and liners but they had jocks to tell which station you listen to.
They can make this station better with old recordings from WNEW shows, not only the interviews from Scott Munni, but shows from Alison Steele and others. They don't have this big archive for nothing, I like to hear these things.
Also the new music on this station sounds very krocky to me. I think it's nicer to make this station a 'big tribute' channel from the old WNEW. Opinions, thoughts?

Yes that's great and it's WNEW so the name is important and familiar by old listeners. Play more progresive classic rock/album tracks than what regular classic rock stations playing.

Maybe they're going to shadow-simulcast it with the soon to be Internet-only "WBCN" in Boston later this week...

Mmm, strange nobody gives a f. about this station, so this topic is very quiet. Or there are no listeners because it sounds like an Ipod on shuffleplay without less jingles and info.

Oh wow, WNEW is back on the air. Let's all rush to the store and buy an HD radio for $200. Oh no, why is the station dropping out every mile? This HD thing sucks. I don't feel like holding the antenna in one position.

I listened to this station pretty frequently in the spring. They played a pretty good mix of live recordings, and deep cuts from the late 70s and early 80s, and some new AAA garbage. For some reason, perhaps to counter WRXP's programming brilliance, this summer, they chose to showcase the newer AAA type music. I retreated to K-Rock2 at that point. I agree, more interviews, more live performances, more subversivness, and less Gomez.
