102.9 Oink

Everyone,

I get the feeling Milwaukee has themselves after years with no Top 40 radio station, we may have 2 after 10 am tomorrow morning.

In the 12 AM hour I have heard Vanilla Ice, Usher, and Alicia Keys.

That does not sound like a "Jack" format to me. It sounds more like a 2000s version of the former Hot 102 "Churban" format that was popular in the 80s and 90s.

Now they are playing Bee Gees.....

Sounds like Milwaukee has a new rhytmic intensive dance/CHR/Rhythmic station of yesterday and today to compete with Kiss and V 100.

Comments???

Can't wait until 10am!!!

Though everyone is watching 102.9, my eye is on 99.1 and how they react! Doc, care to comment????

:-D

I'm dying to see the outcome of this. As for whether it'll be a Rhythmic I wouldn't be sure about this one yet, since they are stunting right now.

Nah. I think they just borrowed some of WJMR's music for the stunt. All the rhythmic stuff they were playing is from 2004.

Obviously didn't happen, and won't. That would be foolish.

I can't speak for the PD's, but they did what I would've done. Nothing. Anything more would have been a dangerous knee-jerk.

Plus, who *really* thought that they would do anything other that rock? If you thought that, you need your head examined! Why leave that format only to compete with a bunch of other stations?
