So are have they jumped on the trending boat and swung back over to alternative? Also, was this station not owned by clear channel at one time? I'm not from Nashville but pass through often and noticed the station leaning more alternative.
 
Clear Channel never owned the frequency. Cromwell has owned it for the duration. It had attempted a few forms of country with little success against WSM AM and FM along with WSIX. Then WKDF dropped alternative for country and 102.9 picked up the alternative format.
 
There for a while they were active rock though and I've been streaming them today and notice a pretty good mix of active rock and alternative rock.
