102.9 The Whale is already using gimmicks to get more listeners. They're doing a commercial-free block Weekdays 10AM-Noon. It may get them more listeners in the short term, but will it be worth the lost revenue?
I don't think they are losing any ad revenue. One more ratings drop the will be equal with NPR. I can't believe sponsors are lining up to buy air time.
