102.9

Yea, I heard it the other day clear as heck over hear in Lithonia. I thought I was listening to Grown Folks 102.5 at first on my clock radio. Atleast jazz still has a home in ATL and possibly a strong one now that WCLK is on 102.9.

So much for Rock 103 and Magic 102.9. Can someone please tell me why WCLK needs a translator? From the coverage maps it doesn't appear to help their coverage area.

I'm sick of all these %*#@! translators. Soon I won't be able to listen to WIBB because of the translator that will be signing on at 97.9.

They do nothing but cause interference. When I was traveling to Chattanooga last week I noticed there's a religious translator (WCCV) on 96.1 which starts causing interference with Project 9-6-1 between Dalton and Ringgold.

I can't listen to it in North Gwinnett, due to Majic 102.9, but 91.9 reaches this area. I found it near impossible to listen to in North Dekalb, near the Fulton County line, due to the stronger 103.3 signal beside it. I did hear it in Dekalb County, but the surrounding high powered signals covered it. You need a good radio with a good antenna to listen in that area. I wish they would consider a powerful translator around I-85 in Suwanee or between Duluth and Suwanee, near I-85. I think 91.9 WCLK will move and reduce power, so it may not reach this area when/if 91.9 moves. I can receive 96.7 out here, so maybe 91.9 will still reach this area.

Yep...tried to get Majic 102.9 today in Johns Creek and all I got was a mishmash of Majic and WCLK. The button just got replaced by WZGA out of Helen (105.1)...we'll see how long that lasts.

I don't understand why they need the translator, either. Are people in L5P complaining about reception?
