If you guys want a real hip hop station that isnt cookie cutter.. Check out the stream at http://www.102jamz.com/ I think most here would love a real hip hop station like this, without the R&B and pop that most Urbans and Rhythmics force feed ya.. I like the Dance-Party Friendly stations like B-96 in Chicago, but they play plenty of new Hip Hop and have mixshows, and no slow jamz, but most Hip Hop stations these days are just either leaning on R&B or are just CHRs without the rock,, no street edge, no imaging, no mixers... ETC... my girlfriend lives at Hillsville Virginia, within range of this station, and she bumps it alot...

102 jamz is a hot station i like tha 10 pm mix every weeknight with diffrent dj's everynight. i also like hot 107.1 in memphis they dont play r&b atall but mostly oay dirty south hip-hop, and local artist like yo gotti, and three six mafia. i would say 102 jamz is better because of the mix shows. hot 107.1 is a good station too but they have a lack of mixshows www.hot1071.com

After looking at that playlist, I think they are more Non Stop dirty south then WHTA Ever been. I did not see ANY R&B in rotation

Hot 107.1 i listen to tha stream one day for two hours, and they played no R&B at all so its like one of the only stations thats not falling the urban radio trend playing more R&B to capture the women audience for ratings

Hot 107.1 used to be one of the crunkest dirty south radio stations with mixshows galore, but all of a sudden, they disappeared. Me and my wife went to Memphis about three years ago, and I noticed that Hot 107.1 did not have no mixshows except for a 5pm mix during the week and some broadcast from a club on Sundays, 11pm-1am, where they played old school and I don't mean hip hop. That was it. I was disappointed by that, but the overall presentation of the station was very good.

102 JAMZ was always my fav station when I was attending NC State. Their enormous signal would make it into Raleigh with a good antenna. It is prob the best programmed Hip Hop station I have ever heard. They had great mix shows and the song selection was far superior from the other urbans in the area. Does anyone remember their old battles with Power 97? They both had good mix shows and I recall 97 had their bass cranked so high you threatened to blow your speakers if your volume was high enough!

Of course another awesome Hip Hop station was U92 here in Dayton (R.I.P.) Unfortunately they went to R1 and now we suffer with Hot 102.9. Ugh! Although 92.1 is becoming a decent Urban AC station.
