1029 the point

Loved this weekend's music playing everything from A to Z... the dial on the radio and a lot of my friends never changed we even had it on outside while we cooked out and hung out on beach ... really good to hear everything from the 80's.... a lot of us wish some of those songs we heard would be thrown into the playlist sometimes instead of the same ol songs... but I and the rest of us understand the business and ratings...but again awesome weekend hearing some songs... like rod stewart's passion, and expose' and etc.

There sister 80s station in Tampa is doing the same! There music libraries are almost Identical except 102.9 has a few more! In fact the sister 80s station also did A to Z during Memorial Day weekend! Your right, there are alot of songs from the 80s that they don't play in regular rotation! ;)

verything is the same on their same formatted stations. all the imaging and playlists thru all the cox stations. u hear the same imaging in jax and in tampa and in birmingham on their '80's stations

it's the cox template

Enjoy it while you can. The Point Jax is history soon.

I agree with "Radiosnuts". The Point is ready to bite the BIG ONE soon.

Too bad. I listen to them all the time when I am over that way. With KZY in Gainesville backing off the 80's, I guess I'm stuck listening to that 70's drivel the consultants call "oldies".(HAH!)

We haven't had the Point in Birmingham for almost a year now. They flipped to Eagle.

I've DX'ed the Jacksonville Eagle a few times, and yeah, it sounds just like the one in Birmingham. Are they wasting good local on-air talent on the lame canned format down there, too?

I see an urban head to head with CC soon. Its only logical.

Whatever happened to Rick Rider on COOL ?
