103.1 Audio Question

What do you think of the audio quality of 103.1? Yes, I know what they are using. What do YOU think? Is the magic box worth 14K? I am curious what everybody else thinks about this. I have not yet formulated an opinion.

I think 103.1 sounded better when it was smooth jazz. I noticed that sometimes the audio favors a certain channel more at times. I have not listened to 103.1 that much but what I have heard did not blow me away like it used to.

Austin, can you tell me what...in audio quality...sounds worse? Do you hear distortion now? Do you think the highs are "too high"? In your opinion, does it sound over processed to you? Do you think sibilence (did I spell that right?) is too pronounced now, just right or not enough? I value your opinion as well as the others eavesdropping right now! Tnx.

I haven't listened in the past week but will give them a try. However, I would have to say they are the loudest of any of the other stations I've heard.

I hear lots of mid-lows, good for the reggaeton "doomp, da-doomp, da".

Hello. It sounds wayyyyyy too over processed in my books. I'd have to listen again but it sounded a bit bit raty at times. The 2 things that stuck out to me was distortion and the channel favoring that was going on. It is super loud. I mean no disrespect here but I can't listen to that station for more than 5 minutes. If you want me to I can listen and go really nerdy on you. :) There signal breaks up really easy in my neighborhood. They are not the only one. 98.9 and 95.3 have a lot of interference here. It's not from other channels. It's maybe electric or something. I have no idea what it is. I live near u-hall in Altamonte. I can't promise any listens this week because I have some things going on but I can listen in depth at one point if you want me to. My set up is a PL-390 with sony earbuds and skullcrusher headphones. Not exactly audio file quality but I do a lot of sound production and audio is a thing i pay very close attention to. I can tell you I just listened for about 5 minutes and there was some mix dj on there. From what I heard it sounded OK. Nothing really stuck out to me at that point. It was around 11:49 PM on July 29 I had it on.
