103.1 Fresh FM (London)

Any ideas on why Energy flipped the name to Fresh? No difference in the music they play. All they did was change the morning show and moved around a few DJs around the Corus London studios.

And can someone also let me know why Fresh would want to sound like BOB? Not that Fresh is any better then Energy but if we already have a BOB station in town why do we need to have another one thats sounds the same? The only difference is that Fresh will play more 'pop' retro then BOB. Now the only radio I'm listening to is a station in iTunes at work and when I'm in the car I'll listen to CDs or 91.5 The Beat when the reception is good.

The problem Energy London ran into, is that their audience was too young.
They were just a bit slow to change the name to fresh, that's all.
I believe it would have been smarter to have changed the name to fresh the day they abandoned the top fourty sound, instead of just recently.

As for sounding too much like BOB, the demand for the BOB format is so high, why not get as close to it as they can?

As far as I know, the answer is no,(as far as english Energy goes) but Stadard owns at least one Energy radio station in Canada,(out in BC) and there may be an independant Canadian Energy out there still.<P ID="signature">______________
