I was just doing a search and came across that Next Media once owned this station around the late 90s into 2000. http://cdbs.recnet.com/fmq.php?facid=&call=wsyn&ccode=1&latd=&lond=&city=&state=&country=US&zip=&party=&party_type=LICEN&search_block_form=&form_build_id=form-cd195bc3d8a78dd65c53a9eac5673795&form_token=c2cd45121de65d1217125dcca5f68c78&form_id=search_block_form How come Next Media doesn't still own this station today? Just a courious.
I remember reading they bought too many stations and had to sell one.

Oh yeah, a company can't own 5 FMs in one market.
Although I thought they took care of the problem when they sold the former WRNN to some company that made a deal with WEZV and turned it into WYEZ.

That happened after Star moved from 99.5 to 92.1 replacing Joy 92, and WRNN took the 99.5 frequency.

I'm not sure whether I read this here but last week it seemed that nearly every song on this station was from the 80s. I even heard Sheryl Crow and Alanis Morrisette. Who didn't have hits until the 90s.

Not that this would make the station a candidate to fill the void between Easy 105.9 and the hot AC of Star 92.1. This station can be pretty loud too. However, Star doesn't play as many older songs as most ACs.

Sunny 103.1 seems to be competing with 104.9 as the PD (Craig Russ) who used to work at Bob now works at Sunny.

Also a question about Craig Russ. How is he on the air on both Sunny 103.1 and 106.5 The Coyote from 2pm - 7pm. One has to be voicetracked or something. Cumulus is so cheap.
