103.1 The Buzz in Austin, Texas

Yesterday, around 4pm, I picked up The Buzz 103.1 from all the way from Florida! The signal was crystal clear and was good for a good 6 miles as I was traveling southbound on Interstate 35 in Austin. The music is pretty good, but I really liked the Sofa King commerical! Looks like I will be taking a road trip pretty soon.

If you do take a road trip over here to Florida you can drive down U.S. 1 (also known as Useless-One) along The Florida Keys. Once you get down to the Lower Keys (approaching Key West) it may be possible to pick-up your favourite Austin Texas FM station ! There's lots of skipping going on across that great pond known as the Gulf Of Mexico, and stations all along the Gulf Coast from southeast Texas to the Florida Panhandle pop in and out when atmospheric conditions allow.

THE MAJOR

Austin is pretty far inland too. I'd imagine a Houston station would overpower radiation from THAT far away.

A few stations I've gotten in the keys include WOAI, WFLA, XEEW, XEFD, KODA, KTBZ, and others that escape me. None of them are consistant though. I usually get them for a couple minutes.

...and listen to US-1.
"...the most listened to radio station in the Florida Keys since 1989!"
