103.1 W276AV & W276BV Stamford/Greenwich

who the hells running these?
It sounds like I am listening to WXRP in horrible audio quality if your anywhere near the Stamford Greenwich CT area.

According to the quick lookup I did, W276AV belongs to WQXR. I didn't search the FCC database, just an old reference guide I had here in the office.

No, it's just that WXRP is a horrible station ;)

Why do they need a translator anyway? Is there some reason the 101.9 signal doesn't make it into Stamford or Greenwich?

Aren't those supposed to translate WQXR? Someone might have bumped the dial. WQXR needs a translator in Stamford because 96.7 overloads radios.

the 103.1 relay is supposed to be WQXR. However, what you will hear is a bunch of hash with WRXP's audio off base (ie like an analog tuner being bumped off a station) being relayed. if any of you are between the Port Chester NY/CT Border of Greenwich to almost Norwalk on I-95 this is what you will hear the closer you get to Stamford over B-103 (WBZO) on 103.1. the repeater is not even doing the top of the Hour call letters so technically it is violating FCC rules and guidelines. sounds like a repeater that someone forgot about. I am yet to figure out exactly where the relay is in stamford. it sounds like W276BV is off the air.

That's not going to be a problem when 96.7 moves to Long Island....However, I guess they still will have 95.9 WFOX to contend with.
