103.3 Busy Radio Hartford

Was tuning through the car radio in my car in Newington and noticed a station on 103.3 that I never heard before it's 103.3 Busy Radio. They never give any call letters, have no RDS. Some of their production is very good while at other times its poorly produced Jamaican commercial or programs.

Anyone know anything about this station? Is it a LPFM or a pirate?

Got to admit while some of it is low quality, I kind of dig the Jamaican stuff, almost has me feeling like I am on the islands again. Only thing missing is a bottle of Red Stripe in my hand. :)

Not even getting a single hint of it here in New Britain. Strange! I do get the low-power Spanish station on 103.5 FM though.

Used to live in Connecticut and still visit the area every month or so. Currently here and noticed quite a few pirates in the Hartford area. By far the two strongest pirates around here are 103.3 and 101.7, and they've both been on for at least a few years by now. They must be running some decent wattage, especially 103.3. I believe 103.3 is broadcasting in mono, which can help the signal travel. However, I also noticed pirates on 103.5(Spanish), 104.5(Spanish) and 107.5(?) while driving in South Windsor. Those were stations that I didn't remember seeing before. I looked on Radio Locator and couldn't find any licensed stations for these frequencies in Greater Hartford.

Thought it was funny how there were two pirates next door to each other on 103.3 & 103.5. I currently live in the Boston area and we don't have nearly as many pirates, but that may also be because the fm dial is more crowded up there.
