103.3 Caribbean Pirate

Today was the first time I picked up the 103.3 Caribbean Pirate. I started picking them up really weak at the traffic light at Church Street and South Street in Bristol. It was fading in and out as I was driving down South Street getting stonger by Aldi's at the bottom of the mountain. Reception turned crystal clear as I crossed over 229 and continued straight down Pine Street. It started faded just a bit as I approached the Forestville Commons, but started coming in crystal clear again as I turned left into The Commons.

I don't know when they actually have time to play music they have so many commercials. Commercials promoting events at The West Indian Social Club in Hartford, Promoting an event taking place at 3 different NYC area high schools (one in Queens, one in Brooklyn I think, and one in Da Bronx), promoting an event at Toad's Place in New Haven, Promoting an event in Worcester, promoting an event called "Michelle's Secret Birthday Party", some event for Black History Month (on February 27th, which is the day before the last day of Black History Month), commercials for some TAX Preperation Place, even a commercial for State Farm Insurance on Blue Hills Avenue in Bloomfield.

I heard a couple Caribbean Tunes. Then after I took care of my business in the plaza they were playing a really old-time song something out of the 40s or 50s with a voice over in the middle of the song a couple times "Ooh this music is so sexy." Then that song ended into another Caribbean song into another 20 mins minimum of commercials.

Driving home they started fading in and out going up Mountain Road, came in a little better when I turned onto Church Street, faded completely as I continued down Church Street, unlistenable as I turned left onto Pleasant Street, and getting slightly stronger as I turned into my parking lot on Pleasant Street.

I must listen to this great pirate station the next time I'm in C.T.

Maybe it's a network of pirate stations in different areas. There's a pirate in NYC, New Haven, and Worcester. They must be making some nice tax free income.
