103.3 Pirate in Hartford

Anyone else notice the Reggae pirate staton that seems to be on 24/7 on 103.3 MHz in Hartford? Seems to be coming from the vicinity of the corner of Sigourney St and Albany Avenue. I'm curious how far away they are being heard.

Finally....the pirates raid HARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRtford.
I've noticed it and this is nothing new. We've had pirates in the area off and on for some time. I think this one is 1K directional.

Aw! Come on!
You guys take ALL the fun out of it.
Why can't we just be excited about SOMETHING...anything....like a PIRATE.
You're a F'#n BUZZ KILL....;-(((

I've been waiting (quite a while now) for somebody to mention this. I didn't want to be the one to post it. I hope they stay on. :D

Dude, welcome to Connecticut radio. ;D

I'm not sure why anyone would bother doing OTA pirate radio when it's so much easier to just do it online. Just look at former pirates like Jammin 99.5. (search for it as WKDH-FM on live365)

I was in New Britain last night and discovered another pirate (I will go into details on it in a new topic) but as this was a very distorted signal, I figured it might have been a spur or something and scanned the entire dial, during this scan, I picked up 103.3 very clearly. They audio quality was somewhat lacking and they were in mono. I was in the downtown NB area.

I picked up this pirate station yesterday afternoon on my car radio in back of Kohl's on New Britain Avenue in Plainville. Radio Reception over there was weird. Here's what I picked up:

97.1 WQHT NYC - Weak and Fuzzy, semi-listenable.

103.5 WKTU NYC - A little Fuzzy, listenable

104.7 WSPK Pourghkeepsie- Fuzzy, Semi-listenable

105.3 WDRE Long Island - Extremely Weak and Fuzzy, unlistenable

103.7 WEEI-FM Westerly - was also Crystal Clear

105.5 WVEI Springfield was Fuzzy, but listenable

I also picked up on 1630 AM very weak an outfit calling itself "WEST HARTFORD EMERGENCY RADIO NETWORK. With a message on a loop stating if the power was out to call CL&P at 1-800-xxx-xxxx."
