103.3 WMCM to go talk?

It was posted on Fybush's mailing list that 96.7 WCME is running promos that the talk format is moving to 103.3 WMCM licensed to Rockland (96.7 is licensed to Boothbay, both have studios on Whitten Road in Augusta) and will be a simulcast of WVOM Bangor.

So with all the changes with Blueberry, I wonder if the rumor of 101.3 going talk is true now, because since the Christmas music ended, Star 101 has sounded more hot AC than pre-christmas music, maybe going after Mix 107.9 a little more?

Looks like 101.3 WKCG is the one going talk, not 103.3. It's a direct lift from 103.9 WVOM (commercials and all)

I'm not within earshot of 96.7 but what are they carrying now? 101.3 is carrying all the WVOM shows that 96.7 WCME cannot, so would they flip 96.7 to the old AC format that was on 101.3 or continue with the talk that they've been doing? The last time there was a WVOM trimulcast was a few years ago when WVOM/107.9 in Skowhegan and 96.7 were together for a short time under Clear Channel's ownership (until CC lost 107.9 and went talk on its own)

Speaking of 107.9, they must be loving the 101.3 to talk flip, now all they have for in market compeition is 92 Moose.

Howie Carr just 'welcomed them back' (I'm listening on flagship WRKO) and he didn't know freq but he
said something about "a simulcast of WVOM"...

Update: Look like it’s 101.3 up in Augusta ME

>>On January 5, 2009 the station dropped the Star 101 imaging and the adult contemporary format for a simulcast of talk radio WVOM.

It looks like 96.7 has taken the old Star 101.3 format, even calling themselves Star 96.7. I haven't listened much, but it sounds like all computer...music and liners. They are on the fringe for me so I haven't listened for long. Bob and Sheri did not go with them in the morning, I'm not sure about Delilah.

An update on 101.3, they are airing their own commercials in the break. My one gripe, is that WVOM STILL doesn't have their website back up and running. It REALLY gets frustrating when you still hear liners like "Vote on the question of the day at wvomfm.com." C'est la vie.
