103.3 WODS at 8,700 watts

I noticed a few weeks ago WODS reduced their power but the tower location is still the same according to Radio-Locator. Did WODS move to another tower? The Height Above Average Terrain is 351 meters (1152 feet). 105.7 WROR is on the Pru and the HAAT is 224 meters (735 feet). The coverage area for WODS has not been available since this change in power. I also notice WODS is slightly weaker in the Providence area than before.

are they on the "128" tower?

Does WODS share an antenna with WKLB on FM128 or has WKLB moved to the "Channel 4" tower? One could say moved _back_ to the Channel 4 tower because, as WCRB (FM), 102.5 used to be on that tower. But 102.5 moved to FM128 when the big height-increase project began (at Channel 4) a decade or more ago. Within the last year or two, though, WKLB established an aux facility on the Channel 4 tower. That was the site from which WKLB tested higher HD power. At that time, there was speculation that the Channel 4 facility would become WKLB's main and the FM128 facility would become the aux. Did that ever happen?

It's an interim move to locate to the master antenna on the 128 tower, use the former main as an aux and relocate to the Pru.

I'm guessing that eventually, the master on 128 will be the aux for the main site on the Pru and the old main antenna on 128 will come down.

That applies to WODS--right? I know it was the original subject of this thread, but I brought up WKLB. 102.5 can't move to the Pru (or anywhere else in downtown Boston) because it has an IF problem with WUMB. (102.5-10.7=91.8--just half a channel from WUMB, and the fact that WUMB's power is only a few hundred watts doesn't change the situation.) So is WKLB on FM128 or "Channel 4?" And if on FM128, which antenna? And wherever it is, is it WKLB's permanent location?

Yes, that is the plan for WODS. WKLB is permanently licensed with a 4-bay antenna lower down on the "Channel 4" tower in Needham, with licensed auxiliary facilities at the FM128 tower in Newton. The aux tx at FM128 feeds the master 2-bay panel antenna up top.
