103.5 Kiss FM Chicago - Cuming Nearly 2.5 Million!

Looks like WKSC 103.5 Kiss FM Chicago is reaching new heights in the ratings as it reaced 2,453,700. This is a huge accomplishment considering only 5 stations in the bigger L.A. market posted higher cume figures, and only 10 stations in NYC posted higher cume numbers. In terms of share WKSC posted a healthy 4.3 share

Second place in cume went to rival B-96, which is also up to its highest cume ever - 2,214,400. Share-wise the station is finally getting close to a 4 again with a 3.8 share
Third place in cume goes to Hot AC 101.9 The Mix with a cume of 2 million (No, they're not CHR yet - you'll hear at least one 90s title an hour from the likes of Alanis or Dave Mathews Band, and the occasional 80s hit too). It's also posted a 4.5 share again, good for fourth place overall.

I was just in Chicago last weekend, and you hear WKSC and WTMX in a lot of public places- more so than I hear KIIS, KAMP and KBIG in Los Angeles.

After hearing Mix again, and regularly listening to KBIG, I'm convinced that Hot AC is the new CHR. Or its what CHR would have sounded like if it continued on its trajectory from the late 90s. Maybe I'm just getting old, and I don't understand what all these young kids are screaming about.
