103.5 The Beat online?

I'm not sure if or how they are able to do this, but 1Club.FM online broadcasting has recreated the former
103.5 "WUBT - The Beat" Jamming Oldies format, even to the point of using the liners as aired by (I can't
think of his name - the P D who also co-hosted with Larry Lujack on Saturdays) WUBT. I listened for a couple
hours today, and also heard some of the old imaging, including the one with Mike Ditka on "Chicago's 103.5 FM,
the Beat!". Same music they played as well.

Try the "Jamming Oldies" link....

Love-FM is moving more in this direction of late, but listening reminded me that I, for one, miss this format
in Chicago.

I am listening and it sounds great !!

Chicago's Beat !!

Hi all,

We've had that running for about a year and a half. How? Jay Beau (PD back then with Armando now at V103 as PD), Kenny did mixes, I supplied much of the music for the launch (Sal), Kenny's always had the imaging, also, if you didn't know, me and Lee (Michaels) streamed Lujack on Saturday mornings back then for them.

Kenny actually programs that channel. It runs as Jammin' Oldies on both our WBMX.COM and 1Club.FM properties.

Thanks for the compliments, we hope you enjoy it. Maybe one day someone will do it the way we do it here and not follow up motown with One Night In Bangkok. The personalities were critical to the 20 million in billing back then and Love is lacking that as well as a few other little things. Adding Brian was the best move they've made since day one. He's familiar with most of the product (even the out of place/format stuff) and he enjoys it, not just going through the motions like it seems all other personalities are.

I listened to The Beat from sign on to sign off and loved every minute....you guys are doing a bang up job and it and your site is awesome. Keep it up!!!
