103.5 THE BOMB IS BETTER THEN HOT 97.5 VEGAS

RADIO IN CALIFORNIA IS BETTER THEN RADIO IN NEVADA YOU HAVE SORRY PROGRAM DIRECTORS . HOT 97.5 IS A FAKE HIP HOP STATION THEY PLAY LADY GAGGA THE BOMB HAS BETTER MIXSHOWS THEN KVEGS. SACRAMENTO DJ'S HAVE MORE SKILLS ON THE TURNTABLES.

not sure who you're cheer leading to. I'll have to take your word for it since personally I only listen to this market's offerings

Why would someone take the time to create an account here, just to post something so stupid? Apparently, California radio makes people stupider...

KBMB/Sacramento (the BOMB) is owned by Entravision which operates two Spanish stations in Las Vegas...105.1 KQRT and 92.7 KRRN. KQRT has been pretty hot in the ratings over the past year or so and that continues to be true with PPM. KRRN doesn't do very well, I'm not sure if they have issues with their signal.

If KBMB is as good as you say they are Blazin it would be interesting if Entravision would ever switch 92.7 to a similar hip hop format and challenge HOT.

103.5 The Bomb is horrible. They have some of the worst mixshows. They call themselves an official hip-hop station, but they play pop music (Kesha, Pitbull, David Guetta, etc.) and Weezy most of the time instead of hip-hop. Oh, by the way, no one really listens to them anymore because they ain't blazin. They need new management.

According to the Sac board this station is switching to CHR/Pop.
Yeah, they did that already. They suck and really think they can compete with KSFM and KDND, which they are already Top-40 and KBMB is doing the same thing? I guess they want lower ratings.

It will be hard for the ratings to get much lower than they are now. The BOMB had the typical diary to PPM drop off that so many rhythmic stations have experienced. So while the OP isn't a fan of HOT you have to give them credit for being a rhythmic that is thriving with PPM.

Speaking of Sacramento radio. The #1 station there is rock station KRXQ, It is programmed by Las Vegas native JIm Fox who worked at several LV stations in the 1980s.

Maybe they won't have lower ratings. But they won't go back to the high ratings that they once had. They were successful when they main;y played hip-hop and R&B until 2007. Then they jumped on the bandwagon and tried to be like the other pop stations and that didn't work out too well. It's not the pop music that has driven their ratings down. If you have the time, go to the Sacramento board and read the blogs about the demise of 103.5. You will find out more why the station really went downhill. Finally, 98 Rock is the best station in Sacramento. Although I don't listen to them much, they play good music and serve the people the right way.
