103.5 WMIB please flip to todays dance music station !

Id love to see 94.9 Zeta back...ain't gonna happen.

The fact is, just like rock music since WGTR and WSHE flipped going on 20 years ago, there just isn't the ratings or $$ in South Florida to support it on one of the big commercial sticks.

The demographics just dont support rock or dance anymore in a large fashion. When only 30-40% of the population is "white" (biggest supporters of both formats) and close to half of that number are over 45, you just cant support a lot of these formats.

I have two suggestions for the folks out there who want dance music. I almost assure you one of these methods are available to you now or can be for less than $40.

1) Get an HD radio.
2) use a smartphone! I dont even bother listening to the local radio stations anymore and I think Im better for it. Your average phone with a respectable data plan will provide you with plenty of listening in a flat and urban environment like South Florida

May the haters attack me...

3) SiriusXM with two modern dance channels.
