103.7 AMP-RADIO

dns alert... 1037ampradio.com is resolving to sophies website... also -- kamp-hd2 (97.1fm los angeles) is now simulcasting sophie 103.7fm...

im guessing friday morning we have a format switch... but i could be totally wrong!!!

Told you so...

Which means, it probably means nothing.
Maybe.

See what happens when we speculate? We make an... Oh wait, different, that's a different phrase.

This explains something. I swore I heard a Los Angeles legal ID on Sophie in the 6PM hour a couple days ago, but dismissed it as a mind-fart. Guess it was real after all.

But why would 97.1 Amp radio simulcast a station that's going to be flipping to their exact same format and name? That makes no sense. I don't think they're flipping. Their last numbers were good.

Why would you blow up Sophie when it's well inside the top 10 25-54?

yeah, i just got a chance to look at sophies numbers -- they are through the roof. it would be really dumb to blow up this station right now. i still cant figure out why they would have 1037ampradio.com website setup... do you think maybe its just to mess with people ... or perhaps they werent expecting such a good book out of sophie?

san diego is a very interesting radio market right now...

Not sure, that site has been redirecting to Sophie's website since April. That's around the time 97.1 launched as Amp so we thought it was just a marketing stunt. Didn't realize it was still redirecting.

maybe they just keep it as a backup plan if there was severe ratings trouble for sophie. i was not aware it had been around for so long. a friend had called me last night as if it were something new...

what is on sophies hd2 channel -- or is there an hd2 channel on that station?
