103.7 Not NEW Any Longer

No more 'The New 103.7' Now it's "The Bay's 103.7"

website is now referred as www.sf1037.com

I predicted this in the 2013 radio predictions thread...though it hardly took a psychic to do so. You can only reasonably be "new" for so long...unless you're laundry detergent, which is always "New and Improved."

Laundry detergent -- KissCountry 93.7 here in Fresno has been "The new Kiss Country" for about 30 years now. Seriously. But the call letters - KSKS - spells "K-SUCKS". Whiney fake cowboys. Pop-schlock with a twang.
But, 'new' for 30 YEARS? Is that a record?

Or unless you're the Shabu-Shabu restaurant down the road from me, which has had the "grand opening" banner up for the past three years.

When was at Top 40 WCOL in Columbus in '67-'68 we could never mention the call letters without saying "New WCOL", "New WCOL time" etc. Even the jingles sang NEW WCOL and they were modern jingles...The station had been NEW since the '50's.
NO one seemed to mind ..we were always No. 1

The NEW Jerry Gordon

Country/KKBQ here in Houston TX has been The New 93Q since 2000. Even their Url is thenew93q.com. I think because Syracuse NY has a 93Q and they have 93q.com so they can't get around it.
