103.7

I have a car radio in my room and i can now get 103.7 from time to time.. (When the conditions are good)

Too bad its not WRX anymore, its garbage and has been for awhile....

BOO HI$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because the alternative sports talker down the dial is sooooooo much better.

How long has WRX been gone? I don't live in the area anymore. That used to be a GREAT station! I used to listen to it on my way to and from BCC. Too bad it's no longer around. Oh well. C'est la Vie!

WRX as classic rock has been off the air for at least 5 years. It went to a simulcast of Bostons WFNX's Alt rock then local 1037 fnx then back to a simulcast of the Boston station. It flopped big time with WBRU owning that niche. It was then sold to Entercom and now simulcasts Bostons WEEI 850 am.
Now the closest you get to classic rock is B101.5 which flipped to classic hits a little over a year ago playing mostly classic rock hits with a Barry White and Bee Gees song here and there dumping everything from 1968 and before and adding early 80's from John Couger,Steve Miller,Tom Petty etc.......

I remember the audio was horrible just before Entercom bought it. They cleaned it up and even though the programming may not be everyone's cup of tea, it sounds great. I was the station's Chief Engineer in 1977 when it was still WERI-FM, 16 kW ERP, and MONO!!! How things change...

That was when WERI-AM 1230 had more listeners than the FM! :) And remember the old studios on Railroad Avenue, across from the train station?
