103.9 and 1450 KTNX Southeast Missouri

There is a fairly new oldies mix station here around Farmington, the tower is in Arcadia Valley Missouri, the station is there too. Its 103.9 KTNX, the signal is also simulcast on long dead 1450 KYLS out of Fredricktown Missouri to our south, the signal booms in loud and clear to Farmington during the day on the AM side, and you can listen on the FM side at night. Its also simulcast on KPWB IN piedmont Missouri.

Good mix of oldies.

60's thru the early 80's with a few Fifties mixed in here and there. Its mainly automated, with news updates from the sister station at 6 a.m. 10 a.m and 5 p.m., the sister station is 95.9 Froggy 96 KYLS in Farmington Missouri owned by Dockins Broadcast group.

Hopefully they add some live hosts to the station soon.

Its not KZQZ quality, but much better signal in my area.

Looked at 1450, once.. Just not enough to run it, alone.. Now, with the FM and Piedmont.. Nice!
:D

Its seems the Dock ins group cant make up its mind if it wants to run a radio station or not on 1450, and 103.9 has been silent even though they advertise it is simulcast on three stations total. 1 in piedmont, 1 in Ironton, and 1450 in Fredericktown. The last two days 1450 has been on the air with a broad format labeled mix. If I only had the money, I would buy these stations and work the format over completely.

We would go with Adult Standards and Local Talk.
