103.9 Boerne Radio

Wondering how far the signal for 103.9 FM reaches out of Boerne? What about the AM 1500 signal? Anyone heard it out of Boerne area?

I can get it faintly on 103.9 on the west side of San Antonio.

I live in far west San Antonio, and I can get a pretty good signal from Culebra and 1604 and even all the way to Marbach.

In the same Culebra area and had to change my part 15 transmitter. Seems transmitters like this or the one in Leon Springs Just tunnel down through the hills. They don't stay contained in their communities.

98.1, 90.5 or 107.9 are currently good empty channels for part 15 transmitters in town.

Gee, ya think? Radio waves don't pay attention to city or county boundries.. and when you have 180 watts at nearly 600 feet like K280GR 103.9 does, it'll often carry farther then maps say depending on terrain and atmospheric conditions.

I agree with the previous post, and Boerne Radio is a great station. I like how they never have technical problems staying on.
