103.9 KEDJ readout

I noticed recently that the 103.9 KEDJ readout PAD info on my car radio says "nostalgia" for their format, yet what they play is not anywhere close to that format with their rock programming. Who and why was this done? It didnt used to read out as such. ???

I'm seeing it on my car radio today, too.

Could be a malfunction of the RDS machine in the rack at 103.9...or could be someone's idea of a joke...waiting to see how long it takes management or engineering to notice.

Considering how much of the post-relaunch playlist is 15-30 years old or more (not a bad thing, mind you!), that's not too far-off a description.

I was going to say the same thing. If a majority (as in more than half the time) of what they play is *old* music like "Fight For Your Right To Party" by Beastie Boys, "Loser" by Beck, etc., there's nothing 'new' or 'alternative' about it anymore and I don't see how it *wouldn't* be nostalgia, because that's exactly what it is. If the KEDJ were any more nostalgic, it would be KOOL.
