103.9 Pawhuska what's the deal?

What format are they offically? They are all over the place musically like a BobFM, JackFM.
Not the best choice IMO. If anyone has an info on 103.9 please do tell. I tried to look it up.
Northeast Oklahoma needs an active rock or hard rock outlet. It would be cool to see 103.9
go more in that direction. Something similar to the Edge without all the whiney, 3 cord playing
no talent MTV alt rock. I'm tired of mediocrity or homogonized radio in this area. You know
something is wrong when Joplin,MO has a much better sounding rock station (105.3 KMYL)
than Tulsa, and they really do.

KOSG is in the slow but sure process of repositioning/refocusing to, shall we say, a harder rock-leaning "BobFM" sorta thing. It's not there yet, but the idea is to eventually be pretty hard (but gold-based). Let's call it Classic Active Rock, once I finish fixing the music. The OLD 60's stuff is slowly going away, being replaced by "Edge"-ier music. It's a format still under development.

I'm confused. Is KOSG planning a move-in to the Tulsa market? They aren't even a rimshot right now.

There's no such thing as classic active rock. What you really mean is AOR which is what
we already have with 97.5 Commode. Active rock is a no brainer, it must be done. We
already have way too much classic rock with Star 103.3 and KMOD. Please do something
new and exciting for a change. We are all tired of the same Aerosmith, AC DC and Led Zeppelin
songs being force fed to us. I personally would like to hear bands before they burn out.
Which means new rock. Some cool bands that I never hear around here are Sevendust,
Static-X, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Ministry, Megadeth, Pantera, Janes Addiction, Sprung
Monkey, Powerman 5000, White Zombie, Jackyl, Nonpoint, Disturbed and Primus just to name
a few. I heard these bands regularly where I moved from in Madison,WI on 94.1 WJJO. It
would be nice to see someone here take this format and really program it well. After all it's
better to be a leader than a follower. I think it would do very well here in time.
