103.9 the edge

The more AZ. radio changes the more it stays the same. The Edge brings a nice change of pace. The zone sells out to talk.KDKB remains the same no matter how much they say they have changed. At least they're still playing rock.Kupd rocks except for their morning suckness.Time for a change. The edge morning show is funny and they don't stay on a topic to long.Hint kupd. And the edge has a nice mix of rock. You may agree or disagree it really doesn't matter to me.The proof will be in the ratings.Peace.

sure.. that's why the ratings say kupd a.m. drive rules! j.h. is huge, also kdkb doesn't sound the same.. clean out your ears. the edge is the edge.. marginal signal and actually marginal everything.

I'll disagree with you here. The Edge is not a bad sounding radio station. They've actually improved their sound over the past few months. Just because their signal isn't on South Mountain doesn't mean they can't do good radio. As for promotion, I saw a Power 98.3-themed city bus this weekend; I'm not sure if Riviera did the same with The Edge. If they did, that might be the most promotion money spent on The Edge in years.

Besides its signal, although it had a major failure on Thursday, KUPD's strength is in its promotion machine. Holmberg has benefited most from the listeners who didn't want to pay to hear Howard Stern because KUPD was the station many Stern fans tuned to after the show when he was still doing terrestrial.

Holmberg has benefitted most from listeners that arent interested in chuckleheads mindlessly creating a laugh track under contrived narratives. KUPD has allowed Holmberg to be himself, without formatting the show the way that 99.9% percent of programmers would.

Proof already HAS been, and will be, in the ratings.
