1030 AM and Royce Broadcasting

Had a talk with some onair folks who told me that somehow Royce has now aquired 1030 AM. Find that hard to believe. Last I heard 1030 was to sign on near Galt and place a usable signal over most of Sac. Any info on the status of this frequency and the licensee?

As I suspected, Royce doesn't own the license. Nothing has changed, the calls are KEGC and licensee is still KM Communications. Don't know much about the company but its out of Illinois and the president is Myoung Hwa Bae.

For the right price you can rent this station, maybe that is what is going on. Or maybe Ed is in the process of buying the station and it hasn't yet reached the FCC. I'd like to see Ed get one of the Sacto CBS stations that I believe are still for sale, are they not? Could you'all see him with 100.5? Now that would be something! Totally Tongue in cheek here, so relax and breathe! lol...

The signal looks good. 50kW day and 10kW night over Sacramento. I'm curious what KM Communications is planning for the format. Looking at the owner's name and Sacramento's diversity, it could be brokered programming.
