1030 AM

while driving along I-40 in Nashville... I noticed oldies on 1030AM at 4:45am central (covering WBZ's audio and the overnight dead-carrier of KCTA)...
heard a clear reference to "Calhoun"...so it seems WEBS Calhoun was getting a lot of carry for 3 watts...or was still on 5kw day power. hmmmmm...wonder which?

WEBS-1030 in Calhoun, GA frequently can't find the power-down switch at sunset. I've heard them here in Central Kentucky many times late at night with their automated oldies.

Is that an isolated thing? I haven't noticed it, and usually Mexico City's XEQR is dominant here in East Texas.

It's WBZ or hash (often both) here in central Ohio at night. Maybe I'll try for Georgia this evening. Been too long since I did some quality DXing.
