What happened to WPHH? Was it transferred to another CC proberty perhaps? Maybe these calls were a random assignment.
CTListener said:I always thought it stood for Power Hits Hartford. Did CC slap "P" calls on any of its other "Power"s?

Oh, please. Urban is dying and this market obviously can't support 2 stations.

Ooh. thats good. they should request WIOF back and make it a classic country station.and it will knock out Country 92.5 new country crap off the air.

How so? Connecticut was a dead market for country music until 1988. 92.5's been a consistent winner with contemporary, hit country for the 19 years since then. How is a station playing Charley Pride and Tammy Wynette supposed to get ratings or advertising dollars, let alone "knock that new country crap off the air"?
Ken said:92.5 is doing good cause people like the new country music like Kelly Pickler, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Sugarland, etc...
Anyways is KISS 95.7 playing much rock now that 104.1 changed formats? Im also thinking 104.1 will take away some listeners from The River and 96.5 TIC.

I would like to see 104.1 become RealRadio 104.1 and become a FM Talker much like 104.1 in Orlando.
Most likely top 40 ,but the young demos will get tired and get fed up with the news every 30 minutes
