On other boards I've posted to or lurked in, people who make their first post an out-of-left-field blockbuster like this are pretty much dismissed outright as trolls or nutjobs. Nice to see at least a discussion of this possibility here, as unlikely as it sounds.
I'm wondering, as a listener who's tried to absorb as much knowledge of radio's economics as possible through boards like this, whether there might not be enough advertising money to support two urban formats in Hartford, regardless of ratings. Do advertisers see Power 104.1 and Hot 93.7 as strong enough in the suburbs to warrant paying rates commensurate with their audiences, or do both stations still have to battle the "poor, minority" perception?
