Gosh I'm behind the times - shows you how much I pay attention. I just got off the phone with some caller requesting I listen to "Q104" at specific times to get prizes.
I have never had people call to ask me to listen to a station.
Perhaps Q104 has already tanked? Then again I'm personally not into country; Simon is more to my liking for music.
But to get a call to in essence "please listen to us!" is the weirdest form of advertising I have ever encountered.

Apparently they were able to pay for that advertising by firing their PD today, along with a few other people. Good ol' Clear Channel. Just in time for the holidays!
