104.3 Jams/Chicago is coming to an end

Question: What about a predominantly African American market like Memphis and Atlanta? Thoughts?

I think the logical presumption is that those will be the last markets standing for the format, but a decline in revenue is still a possibility (if for no other reason that radio advertising itself will continue to go down, and what buys will exist will be to more mass appeal formats, to maximize the ROI).

I would say that when the last market that falls outside those exclusions falls, it will be time to start the countdown clock. That's always been the case with formats which no longer exist; there were always markets that could hold on longer due to different demographics ... but sooner or later, they all fell.
