104.3 Lynn Haven signs on Today (8/14)

About 2pm Sunday afternoon WBYW Lynn Haven (Panama City area) signed on for the first time. It is a 6kw station licensed to Lynn Haven, FL a contiguous city to Panama City to the north. Don't know if they are stunting or if this is what they are going to be playing on a permanent basis.

At least they had a website when they signed on....Uh Oh didn't have websites for its stations for several years....................................................................................I doubt Rob will be able to hear this one...it is only 6kw

cceng

there is a station called Bob FM in the market that is lablelled as this type of station but they haven't changed their playlist and the order it is played since the station went on the air......I guess that is why the new station decided to choose the format.....just my opinion

I went to thier website and they have a listren live button but nothing happen no steaming not a thing.

New technology doesn't always work so well when its using new technology.

I'll check it out.. I did pick up 104.3 thinking it was b'ham..it might be them. This kinda reminds me of that little giant 6KW way down in san destin that gets slammed by a country station.

Looking at the website = it's already better than most stations start off with these days. Esp. 00 (si CEENG). I wish the listen link worked. Looks like something I'd listen too. Ww know it's 6kw. R.D.P. - hope you are well in AL. --- great call on the strobey issue for Rob --- CCENG --- what they got for a stick and strobeys?

Thank You cceng to turn this new station 104.3 on the air. @Tibbs per cceng said the streaming will be up and running be a week or so.

Why stream it?

Climb up on your roof. Add an extra stick of chain-link-fence rail to your antenna pole. Raise it up as high as possible... turning the antenna ever so slowly... until poof! you may just find a new radio station down toward Panama City. ... or you might not, give up and try again tomorrow. If it's really there you'll find it one day. You might need to add a tin foil flag to the antenna.

Isn't that how radio works?

Tibbs....antenna is only at 70 meters above ground.....running 6kw ERP.....great equipment....new Harris solid state (Z5) transmitter....AES/EBU board....I like the music....covers Panama City and the Beach quite well even when you get near the Magical/OO tower on Laurie Avenue (intermod alley)

If you can hear it near Laurie Ave it should do just fine. Excellent job CCENG.
Are they transmitting from the tower at Hiland Park?
