"104.3 the Fuse, Wisconsin's Alternative"

The Weird Al Radio stunting is over and WFZZ (formerly WKZG) flipped to alt rock ("104.3 the Fuse, Wisconsin's Alternative") today at 3pm.

One of the few liners I've heard so far mentions 90s and 2000s alternative specifically and I haven't heard anything more recent than 2006 yet. Not sure if they'll be playing currents or if it'll be all 'classic' alternative.

Initial thoughts: For the most part, it's programmed VERY well. I have only heard a few songs that sound out of place so far, so I think it's possible that some tweaks are still being made. I think The Fox will definitely lose some of their listening base in Appleton and The Fox Cities, which are the only urban areas where the local coverage areas of both stations overlap. Based on the imaging and the majority of the playlist, it seems to be aimed primarily at millennial women. It's kind of a Pop version of the Alternative format. I can easily imagine this being played in salons and clothing stores in Green Bay and The Valley. Not sure if it has staying power, but it will definitely be popular initially.
