104.5 and 96.1 " the point"

Noticed today while scanning in car, that Sheboygan's "point" now simulcast's on 2 freq's. Anyone from Midwest comm. know if this will continue or if they plan to branch out one of them into a new format.... just curious.

96.1 is a translator of the Plymouth station, located on the middle tower of WHBL on the south side of Sheboygan. It came with the purchase, and originally was going to be put downtown... it's 250 watts and puts out a nice signal, within the 104.5 contour. it went on the air about 6 weeks ago.

As a translator it can't be programmed seperately and can only serve areas withinthe main station's contour. There won't be anything "new" on 96.1 although it does give them slightly better coverage in downtown Sheboygan. Mostly a south-side coverage increase though.
