104.5 featuring new weezer single

Just have to admit that I love hearing the new single from weezer on the same day it was released. WRFF was able to get that single into rotation within an hour, which I think is a perfect example of radio being able to jump on new and up to date news and music faster than TV could, not that regular TV would air the music video unless it's MTV.

Absolutely and it's common for a currents-based station to jump on a hot new single out of the box for a few days to introduce it to listeners. Country stations are doing that right now with Kelsea Ballerini's new song Homecoming Queen. I see WXTU immediately added it on Friday, and they've been playing it just about every hour or two all week! They'll obviously drop it down to a normal rotation after the introductory few days. But that's how FM radio really drives the streaming world for new music, alerting fans that there is a new song out now.
