104.5 KMCQ & SOME OBSERVATIONS WHILE LISTENING IN SEATTLE THIS WEEKEND....

I have nothing good or bad to say about Kelly. I just know he worked at KJR and other Clear Channel stations in Seattle. He used to post on here regularly.

Hey Goo-rue, I don't personally care who you are, or who you THINK you are. My guess as to why people think you are Kelly Alford is because when you click on TVradioguru, it takes it to your "personal information" which lists your email address as [email protected] I'm just saying. And isn't WGGB a Fox affiliate in Springfield, Mass? The email could be a smokescreen, or not.

Brakes,

Thats why I thought the Guru was Kelly. I know Kelly A. and he knows as much as Guru about the TV/Radio biz. I happened to think highly of Kelly Alford! Did a helluva job with C-89, Golden West, Fisher, and CC in Seattle. Help many create brodcasting.

Back to the topic of KMCQ for a sec. Just a thought...I wonder if they trotted a semi-live jock out for a couple of weeks and ran a contest or two on spec. Just showing a potential buyer the reach, etc of the signal with some listener response? Just curious. Possible? What do ya think? Didn't cost much.

Hmmm, Guru, why did you have that email address listed and now that it was called to your attention you have removed it? Kinda strange.

I must say that while driving through Seattle I have tuned to KMCQ 104.5 and enjoyed the music...but is it crazy at all to say that I miss hearing liners, jingles, announcers, even COMMERCIALS!!?? I can't disagree that the music has been missed....but I want to listen to a station that has more than a tired playlist.

I for one hope that a buyer is found soon...or not...otherwise I won't ever tune in regularly.

I enjoy the filler oldies, but accept that that's all they are. If this station is ever sold, it will not keep the oldies format. Enjoy it while it lasts.
