104.7 at new Woodland site.

Yesterday I turned up the 130-watt KVMR translator on 104.7 at the new Woodland site. Just driving around, I think it's way better in Woodland and Davis, worse everywhere else. I'm curious as to what the other radio fanatics on this board might be hearing.

Seems worse to me in and around Rocklin.

I'm familiar with this site from back when EMF owned it several years ago.

Thanks. Yeah, the old Bald Mountain site (side note - there are over 50 summits in CA alone named "Bald Mountain") was great. Even at 10 watts it covered like gangbusters from that high up. Trouble is, the "protected contour" was in a bunch of farmland. It had to be moved closer to town and this is what our engineer could do given the constraints of an LPFM app at the time.

Makes perfect sense.

Yeah, it was great on "Bald Mountain" :) but you gotta bring that 60 as close as you can to the population.

Yep, even KSAC 105.5 at 2.55 kw ERP from that Bald mountain has a 60 that barely pushes the northwest side of sacto.
