104.7 KVMR

Last night I picked this up in Elk Grove. Is this a new translator for this station? I could not find any info on the web.

It's a 10 watt translator out of Woodland that was donated by EMF. I think it broadcasts on or near the 105.5 KSAC tower.

It's broadcasting from the same RF site as the 105.5 tower, but a little further back. It's mono right now because we're having a big problem with interference on 89.5 from the HD radio sidebands of KQEI (that HD interference is the whole reason KVMR is pursuing new signals in the 1st place). Hoping to resolve the reception issues soon and it'll be in stereo.

I appreciate any and all reports of signal quality (or lack thereof). You can post them here or send to [email protected]

Your translator seems to be doing a good job into Roseville/Rocklin. It's not full quieting but I can hear it. :)

If it is KVMR, they're a non-profit NPR afilliate in Nevada City.

Close, but no NPR affiliation. A few syndicated shows during the evening news block, Nick Forester's e-town, and BBC news on the hour during morning drive. Other than that, the programming is all home-grown.
