104.7 The Fish Playing Christmas music

I know this sounds crazy, but I was on my way home from work thismorning at about 10:15 am, from working at the mall and I flipped onf The Fisch and heard Christmas music. I want to know if this is just a one dat stint to preview their Christmas music for the holiday season or are they going all out now and play Christmas music 24/7? Anyone out there know? Let me know. I would have to sya if they keep the Christmas music I thenk they would be the first station to start this early especially on Halloween night.

What did I say earlier? The first station caught playing Christmas music before Thanksgiving (or even around Halloween) would be the first one I ignore for the rest of the year. We have a winner, apparently...

Congrats Fish. I used to be a fan. :(

I'm not a big fan of Christmas music but I do like how they are mixing classics with newer stuff. They played a version of "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" that really rocked.

Yet another reason to never listen to that station. Thanks for the warning!

I wonder if they did it just so they could avoid talking about Halloween (some ultra conservatives have this belief that Halloween is the work of the devil).

As the Ho-man reported, the quote from Fish GM Mike Moran:

"It’s a trick and a treat! We thought it would be a fun idea to take advantage of the ‘oddity’ of playing Christmas music on Halloween to remind everyone that starting on Thanksgiving 104.7 The Fish is the station to listen to for all-Christmas Music.

Another cool thing is that Kevin and Taylor in the Morning challenged listeners to get in the Christmas spirit and donate to help repair Traveler's Rest Baptist Church, which was damaged by vandals yesterday. By the end of the morning show, Fish listeners had given almost $7,000 to erase racist graffiti and help repair the church van."

Like the Fish or not, and it's obvious some don't, at least give them some credit for taking on a worthy cause and doing something proactive.

What are your other reasons for not liking the Fish?
