104.9 FM to change format Monday at Noon

It's the same playlist as an iHeart CCM in Spokane (KZFS 1280 "Up 99.3")

Thanks Larry. It sounded like a 'satellite' format, so it's probably a placeholder like the Smooth Jazz over on KFNY/102.9. Expect this format gone when the stations are sold to another owner.

If that’s the case, chances are that both Power 93.3 and 96.5 Jack FM’s future are not that good since iHeart wants to hold on to both KUBE and Alt’s format just in case they get a surprise like the one Hubbard gave Entercom.

There hasn't been a word on who will eventually buy 102.9 and 104.9 from iHeartMedia, although it did say that the buyer would begin operating those stations under an LMA.

Are you listening to the stream? The stream must be messed up. Over the air it is Smooth Jazz.

Yeah I'm listening to the stream. It went from Bieber to 21 Pilots to "Feel it Still" now. I thought it was only 50 minutes with Smooth Jazz and then it went into a wheel of formats? I heard that on another message in the Seattle board. Either way, I don't know what's going on.

Based at least on the 6+ ratings, that's logical. From what I understand though, Jack does well in its target demo. I can't understand why they would bring KUBE back to 93.3 if they moved it off that frequency just two years ago.

6+ aside, is Power even doing well in their demos?

Went from 50 Cent In Da Club to Robin Thicke Blurred Lines. What's up with KFNY and iHeartMessingUpSouthSoundRadio?

Hey Tom, you're not listening to the locals on the thread. OTA (which you can't get because you're on the other side of 90) and online stream are two separate things right now. Check Alt's site (still up)...you see Fiddy or Robin on the recently played? No. Paul Taylor and Nick Colionne are up there. Still in SJ mode.

They aired an Eminem song I thought.
Now 104.9 is Christian Contemporary music. Will listen for ID. Another heritage station ends its run in Seattle, at least on the analog FM dial.
EDIT - 'Positive Hit Music'. Is this an iHeart national feed?

You're right, it was from Em. Rap God was the last song.

Moving KUBE back to 93.3 could allow 106.1 KISS FM to shift back to CHR, and it's possible that iHeartMedia will eventually move ALT to 96.5 given the overlap Jack has between The Jet and KZOK.
