104.9 The Horn on 1260 AM

Wish they had a better night signal. I guess the comedy station didn't do well?
 
I don't know if the comedy station had any listeners but my guess is that in order to get the Longhorn sports contract they promised to provide a certain coverage area and needed all these stations broadcasting the Longhorn football games in an attempt to cover Austin:

1260 KHz
1490 KHz
98.5 MHz
99.3 MHz
104.9 MHz
105.3 MHz

(That is all speculation on my part.)
